Miss Emma

I think I am in love! This sweet little angel endured hours of photographing with very little protest. I could not stop shooting. If I would have had it my way, I could have put on every tutu, and hair bow in my studio. However, my husband has a knack for keeping me in check and he finally reigned me in so that this family could get their little one down for her afternoon nap after falling asleep in the studio from shear exhaustion. It's hard work being a diva but this little one is well on her way. Congrats Bowen's on your beautiful addition to the family!

Taking It Uptown

For this session, the family had requesting doing some photos on our town square. Always happy to oblige a client's request, I was looking forward to the opportunity to try out a new setting and this shoot was loaded with possibilites. Aside from their personal connection to the courthouse and a local lawfirm, we ventured around the alleyways and side streets where every turn had something different to try. I could have photographed this gang all evening - they were a fun bunch willing to do whatever I asked! Thanks for the smiles - hope you enjoy the pics!

Spring Has Sprung

Over spring break this year, our family stayed home. We had lots going on with the kids and work so there just wasn't the time to get away. I always get a little jealous of those that travel to sunnier, warmer destinations and this year, because of the nasty Indiana weather that plagued us over break, I was especially jealous. The Howard family had contacted me upon their return home for some quick family pictures before returning to school and work and when we met up, their sun-kissed skin looked fabulous! Immediately, I felt that little green monster inside want to rear it's ugly head but somehow, I managed to keep it check. In any event, I knew we would get some beautiful pictures of this foursome, and indeed we did!

Growing Up Fast

I have fallen a bit behind in my blogging. It always seems to happen this time of year. The weather breaks and things get absolutely crazy but I would be remiss not to mention my final studio session with Joe. This little man came to me a year ago as a newborn and I was blessed with the opportunity to watch him grow and change over the first year of his life and my how he has grown. There was one thing that remained the same with Joe, however, and that was his sweet little smile and he gave me lots and lots to choose from. I am going to miss you Joey - come back and see me often!

The Newest Family Member

Not too terribly long ago, Mike and I had the privilege of photographing Matt and JoEllen's wedding. It was such a beautiful day...a wedding that we still talk about often. Imagine my surprise when I got the email from JoEllen explaining that they had recently added to their family and I was going to get to take his picture too. I could not wait to meet Cooper and when I finally did, he was absolutely precious in every way. Mike and I probably stayed well past our welcome but he was one of the easiest babies we've ever photographed never once putting up a fuss. I am looking forward to our next session together to see how much you've grown and changed.
