My Cuppycake

Mike and I spent another fabulous session with Nolan who is growing up right before my very eyes - but, the one thing that has not changed was that wonderful smile with those phenomenal dimples. I still wanted to gobble him right up and the first words that come to my mind when thinking of Nolan are "My Cuppycake" - my honeybunch, sugarplum, pump-umpy-umpkin. Looking forward to seeing you again soon, snoogums:)

Picture Perfect

This weekend Mike and I spent some time shooting an engagement session for an upcoming wedding this Fall. We all debated whether or not to do the shoot indoors or outdoors and it was an unanimous decision to stay inside due to this unbearable heat that August has plagued us with. It's always more challenging to do a studio session simply because there aren't any opportunities for scenic backdrops or natural light - but, I really don't think that mattered one tiny bit with these two. Clearly they are enamoured with one another and THAT is what was captured during our session. Looking forward to seeing you both again soon!

Long Time Coming

It's been a long time coming for Eva and Todd and this weekend, they FINALLY tied the knot. Mike and I had a great time photographing this couple. Both were very laid back and willing to do anything we asked, in spite of the scorching temperatures. The ceremony was small and intimate but the reception was a party...a big ol' party with "Cornfield Mafia" playing live and plenty of dancing to boot. Thank you for sharing your day with us. It was perfect in every way - except for my bee sting...OUCH:)

Sugar and Spice

On Monday, Mike and I spent the evening with two little sisters who have melted my heart from the very first day that I met them. Charli, is very sweet and loving - such a big help to mom with her little sister. Caroline is a spit-fire with the cutest crinkle-nosed grin I have ever seen in my life. You would have never known that the heat index had topped out at nearly 100 degrees as these sisters were all smiles. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

One Down, One To Go

Well, we FINALLY managed to wrap up our senior representative, Kashia's, first session - we've only been attempting to get it done since June.....

The temperatures were a steamy 96 degrees but Kashia was such a sport and we worked with her for 3 hours - YOU GO GIRL! We re-visited the IMA and then finished the night downtown, Indy.

Several folks stopped us thinking that Kashia was a famous model. We even had one woman give us her own personal camera asking if she could have her picture taken with Kashia - too funny! She was amazingly gorgeous and she could work a runway like the best of any of them, as far as I am concerned.

I am looking forward to our final session together this Fall!

When It Rains, It Pours

Well, where to begin - Kashia is our senior representative this year and I am so excited about this particular session. However, mother nature has definitely got other plans for us. Tonight's session began with sticky, balmy temperatures but we were prepared to moved forward since our last session in July was cancelled due to a severe thunder storm that blew through just hours before our session was scheduled to begin. We arrive at the IMA stoked and began our session with Kashia in a beautiful pink gown.

However, the clouds started to roll, the wind blew hard and the sky turned black in an instant... All I could think was, "NOT AGAIN" but it was just our luck and the session ended with a bolt of lightening...grrr!

I have to hand it to Kashia, she took it all like a real trooper, not a wince or a grimace, she continued to smile that beautiful smile that I am looking forward to capturing over and over, I guess, when mother nature decides the time is right.
