Scottish Rite Cathedral Wedding

Yesterday was a beautiful day in spite of the sweltering temperatures. Jim and Dawn wed at the gorgeous Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis and I cannot think of a more stunning venue. Conveniently located near downtown, we were able to steal away for a bit to roam the circle and of course, Lucas Oil stadium, where this couple sported the jerseys of their most favorite Colts players. The reception was filled with lots of southern New Orleans tradition. My personal favorite, the "hurricane". Thank you so much for sharing your special day with Mike and me. It was perfect in every way!

Debuting Our Tea Party And Dress Up Sessions

The one photograph of my daughters that I never got was the one where they adorned themselves with hats, necklaces and dresses two times their size while sitting around the table with their most cherished teddy bear and doll baby; and to this day, I regret it. Such a precious time in the life of a little girl and now, those moments will not come my way again until grandchildren - which, I'm hoping will be a very long time from now. Anyway, when the idea came to offer tea party and dress up sessions, I was quick to begin adding all the necessary props to my studio in order to debut, what I think, will be one of our most popular sessions yet to come.
We are going to host these unique session as a separate booking altogether and here is how it will work: What I'll need from you is 1 to 4 little girls with very vivid imaginations. We'll head out to the woods or favorite park, with props in tow. I will photograph for about 45 minutes while the little one's play visiting places that only a child dreams of. These sessions are perfect for sisters, cousins, best friends or parties so get one booked today - these childhood moments will be gone before you know it!

The Beginning Of All Things

A new baby is like the beginning of all things - wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities. From her tiny fingers to her sweet, little toes Aleigha was perfect in every way. While she slept during most of our session, I was still able to capture some amazing pictures of life brand new. Congratulations Anthony and Amber, your precious baby girl is a blessing and a gift.

Summer Nuptials

There is nothing hotter than a summertime wedding! However, in spite of the scorching temperatures, this wedding was absolutely stunning. Our day began at the house of the mother and step-father of the groom where mimosas and a fabulous assortment of fruit and sandwiches was being served. The bride readied herself in the sun room which was filled with natural light, a photographer's dream; while the groom anxiously awaited the moment he would finally see his beautiful bride. After everyone was primped and ready to go, we went outdoors and moved about the many charming gardens afforded us in the sprawling acreage of this beautiful home. I definitely loved all the unique, personal touches to this day and I want to say congratulations to Stacy and Cody. Thank you so much for sharing your special day with us. May you have many, many years of happiness together!

Tiny Blessings

Meet Ethan Hine, if you haven't already. By all practical purposes, Ethan should not be here - but, yet he is and on this day, my life was blessed because of him. For an evening, I was able to share a walk in the park with the Hine family strolling along the path stopping from time-to-time at some nearby waterfalls so older brother, Caden, could do some exploring while feeding the Coy fish. We were nearly the only folks around so it was quite peaceful. A cool, gentle breeze blew through Ethan's curls eventually lulling him to sleep. It was his first time visiting a park and he thoroughly enjoyed it - we all did! Jason and Kelli, you are amazing parents and Caden is the best big brother. Thank you for sharing the evening with me - it was something I'll always treasure.
