It's Another Birthday

It seems like lately, we have been bombarded with birthday parties here in our studio. The cake session is one of my favorites. I always love watching what a child will do when faced with a squishy, pillow of icing and balloons. I put this story board together because there were SO many images that I fell in love with when photographing Cyle. I was a tad bit worried about sending him home with a sugar buzz but mom reassured me that he wasn't up too awfully late coming down off his high. Happy Birthday Cyle - you are growing up way too fast!

Cindy Lou Who

If you've seen the Grinch then you know Cindy Lou Who, the adorable little Who that knew there was something good deep down inside that mean ol' Mr. Grinch. It was Kinley's 1-year session and she reminded me so much of Cindy Lou...everything from that wide-eyed smile to those cute little piggy tails. She was just about the sweetest thing.

Just Getting Started

Having finished our first wedding of the year this weekend, we're just getting started. Our bride and groom were visiting home here in the US from Scotland. Mike and I had never met them, not until the eve of the rehearsal and I must confess, I was a bit nervous about that fact. However, I quickly discovered that there was absolutely nothing to fret. My bride, Jessica, was not only beautiful but she was very playful and we enjoyed lots of laughs together. My groom, Kyle, was about as easy-going as they come. The two together not only compliment one another but are a perfect match. The fact that there was 100% rain prediction in the forecast didn't bother us one bit. We managed to get some stunning images, as you can see. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Mohler and thank you for sharing your special day with us!

Sisterly Love

"A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost."

This past week, I spent a bit of time with two of the sweetest sisters that I have ever come across in all my days as a photographer. Charlie was such a big help to her mom and very gentle with her baby sister, Caroline. These two laughed, smiled and shared lots of hugs and kisses together. One day I'm sure the girls will fight over things like the keys to the car, but their mom and dad will always have these sweet photographs of days gone by.

It's A Wrap

After cancelling our outdoor portion of Sydney's senior session earlier in the week due to rain, we were all anxious to get things finalized since graduation is just around the corner. This evening at the IMA could not have been a more perfect evening. This image of Sydney is one of my favorites and I have quite a few more in which I'll need to sort through here in the next few days. I'm quite pleased with the outcome and can confidently say, it's a wrap!
